THE WORLD OF STORY
THE CLEVER MONKEY AND TWO CATS STORY
There was a big tree in a village, A clever monkey lived on that tree.
And there was a house near the tree, The clever monkey always used to sit near the house.
The people of the house always fed the clever monkey.
One day, the people of the house had gone out somewhere and the clever monkey did not get any food.
So the clever monkey went inside the village to look for food.
While going, he saw that two cats were fighting at one place.
The clever monkey went closer and saw that the cats were fighting for bread.
In this situation, the clever monkey was feeling hungry and the monkey got an idea that why not eat this bread.
Thinking this, the clever monkey asked the cats why are you both fighting.
Then both the cats told:
One cat told that this bread is mine because I saw the bread first.
And the other cat also told that this bread is mine because I saw the bread first.
Then the monkey said, both of you don’t fight, bring the bread here, let’s find a solution, when the monkey said this, both the cats agreed.
The monkey looked at the bread and suggested that he would divide the roti equally into two parts.
Then the two cats gave the bread to the clever monkey and said divide it into two equal parts.
Then the clever monkey cut the bread into two pieces, but the bread was not divided into equal pieces.
One became a little bigger and the other a little smaller.
The clever monkey ate a little from the bigger bread to make the roti into equal pieces.
Now the second part seemed bigger,
So he again ate a little from the second part.
Now the first part seemed bigger, so the monkey ate a little from the first part to make the bread equal.
By doing this, the clever monkey ate the whole bread, only two small pieces were left.
So the cats said to the clever monkey, “O sir, give me at least this much of the left.”
The monkey said, “Because I have spent all my time solving your dispute, I will eat the rest of the child’s bread.” The clever monkey said and ate the rest of the bread.
